
Jörgen Bladh
Chairman of the Board
Jörgen Bladh joined Northzone Ventures as a partner in early 2000 to establish an office in Stockholm and a Northzone presence in Sweden. Prior to joining Northzone, he co-founded and built the eLearning start-up AcadeMedia and the high-speed Internet access company Thalamus — both which are now listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Jörgen also has experience from McKinsey & Co, where he worked as a Management Consultant or three years. Jörgen holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Linkoping, Sweden, and an MBA from MIT Sloan School in Boston (1991). Jörgen serves as Chairman of the Board of Envox AB and Norstel AB, and as Board member of Edvantage Group Ltd and Speakanet AS.
Mark D. Flanagan
Vice Chairman
Mr. Flanagan has extensive experience leading and growing high technology companies. As Vice Chairman, he is responsible for ongoing corporate and product strategy as well as key strategic initiatives. Prior to assuming the role of Vice Chairman, Mr. Flanagan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Envox Worldwide. Before joining Envox, Mr. Flanagan was the President and COO of Sonexis, Inc. Prior to that he was the Founder, President and CEO of Brooktrout Software. He has also held senior management positions with Kurzweil Applied Intelligence, Inc., International Data Group, Lotus Development Corporation and General Computer Corporation, among others. Mr. Flanagan received a B.A. from the University of Rochester, and also attended The Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Anders Lindqvist
Director
Prior to joining Provider Venture Partners AB as a venture manager and partner in 1999, Mr. Lindqvist was a senior vice president at SEB, where he spearheaded the Internet banking launch for the firm. SEB is one of the largest banks in the Nordic region and led the online banking initiative in Europe. Prior to SEB, Mr. Lindqvist was the founder and CEO of Telia Electronic Commerce, which was the first ASP business in Sweden. In 1997, he was chosen as Sweden’s “Financial Entrepreneur of the Year”. Mr. Lindqvist currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Tradera, Dropzone and Medinsite, and he is also a Board member of Envox Group AB, Cypak AB, Fox Technologies Inc and Computas. Mr Lindqvist is a graduate of The Stockholm School of Economics.
Kimmo Jyllilä
Director
Kimmo Jyllilä is the Chief Financial Officer of Eqvitec Partners where he is responsible for the administration and reporting procedures of the funds managed by Eqvitec as well as portfolio monitoring and control issues. Kimmo joined the firm in January 2001 with a strong background in finance, structuring and accounting issues. Previously, he worked as a financial analyst with Eqvitec Advisors, an investment banking boutique. There, Kimmo was involved in a range of private equity activities, including several Finnish technology landmark private placements, where he focused on valuation and financial modeling. Prior to joining Eqvitec Advisors in February 2000, he was a lecturer and researcher at the Helsinki School of Economics & Business Administration, in the areas of financial accounting, financial statement analysis and valuation of technology companies. Kimmo holds a M.Sc. (Econ) from the Helsinki School of Economics & Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. Kimmo serves as a Board member for Envox Group AB and Fox Technologies Inc.
Henrik Thomé
Director & Founder
Mr. Thomé has been a successful entrepreneur for over 20 years. In 1990, he founded Svensk Börsinformation, providing real-time financial information by phone. The company was sold in 1995 to Bonnier, the leading Scandinavian media group. In 1991, he founded Linewise, a Swedish Application Service Provider focused on advanced multi-modal applications. Linewise was sold to the Web consultancy firm Optosoft in 1999. Mr. Thomé founded Envox Group AB in 1997 and he continues to serve as a Director on its Board.
