Envox CT Connect for TAPI Software
The Envox CT Connect for TAPI (CTC TAPI) software provides:
- An interface that enables TAPI applications to access the telephony features of a switch through a CTC server.
- A proxy server application for agent monitoring and control.
CTC TAPI Interface
A Windows TAPI application requires two software components:
- TAPI, which contains the functions that the application uses to perform telephony operations
- A service Provider Interface (SPI), which is effectively a device driver, enabling the application to access the physical device. The SPI is not provided as part of TAPI but must be supplied by a third-party manufacturer or developer.
CTC provides the SPI to support TAPI, implementing the Windows TAPI first-party call-control functionality that enables applications to use end-point telephony functions. The subset of TAPI functions that the CTC SPI supports include:
- Assisted Telephony Function
- Line Device Functions
CTC Proxy Server Application
The CTC Proxy Server application can be used to identify groups (also known as queues) defined on the switch, to associate or disassociate agents with those groups, to set and monitor agent states.
TAPI Releases and Supported CTC TAPI Platforms
The CTC TAPI SPI and CTC Proxy Server application support Microsoft TAPI 2.1 functionality, even on Windows platforms that support TAPI 2.2.
CTC TAPI Kit Contents
The CTC TAPI software is provided as a self-extracting executable file called CTC61TAPI2.EXE
